The year 2023 has indeed been a year of esports tournaments with some big and massive esports tournaments continuously taking place right from the beginning of the year.

Esports To Watch From 22 July – 31 July 2023

LCS Summer 2023

LCS Summer 2023 is a League of Legends esports tournament held in the USA and North America. Developer Riot Games had initially decided to postpone the starting date of the Summer split by two weeks. However, on June 9, Riot and the LCS Players Association (LCSPA) announced that they had come to an agreement on terms and that they would resume the LCS season on June 14.

Ten teams compete in a round robin group stage at LCS Summer 2023. One of the most notable points about this LCS Summer Split 2023 is the return of NRG, who will be replacing CLG in the league. NRG were absent for seven years and now have finally come back in NA’s top League of Legends competition this year. They will be hoping to taste the same kind of success that CLG enjoyed in the mid-2010s at the tournament.

The Playoffs of LCS Summer 2023 will begin on 27th July and end on 3rd August 2023. There will be one match held everyday. The LCS Summer split will be live streamed on LCS official Twitch channel. Due to the delay of two-weeks, the matches will be held on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, starting at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET.

The tournament will also have watch parties throughout the Summer split. SOme of these watch parties will be streamed live from the Riot Games Arena. Additionally, in-game item drops will also be available on select weeks.

IEM Cologne 2023

The IEM Cologne 2023 tournament will take place from July 26 until August 6. The Counter Strike : Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament will have the Play-In Stage and the group stage, which will be held behind closed doors. On the other hand, the playoff matches will be held at the LANXESS arena in front of a live crowd.

The Play-In Stage will take place between July 26-28. The tournament has a 16-team double elimination bracket. Just the opening round in the tournament will be BO1, the rest of them will be BO3.

IEM Cologne 2023 will feature 24 teams, eight of which go straight to the group stage. The balance 16 teams will battle it out in the Play-In stage. From the play-in stage the top eight teams enter the main tournament.
