After the broadcast of the final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc, the development of Season 4 of the anime was confirmed.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc will adapt the tenth arc of Koyoharu Gotōge’s original Manga. As the name suggests, the members of the Demon Hunter Corps undergo arduous physical training here conducted by the Pillars, in response to the constant attacks they have experienced of late.

The series will continue in the hands of the  Ufotable studio ( Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel ), under the direction again of Haruo Tonozaki, and with the return of the entire Japanese voice cast led by Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado and Akari Kitō as Nezuko Kamado. Additional details about the anime’s continuation, such as the premiere date, will be revealed at a later date.

Akira Matsushima, character designer and chief animation director, made some visuals to celebrate the Demon Slayer Season 4 announcement. From left to right, these include Giyū Tomioka, Pillar of Water; Shinobu Kocho, Pillar of Insect; Gyomei Himejima, Pillar of Stone; Sanemi Shinazugawa, Pillar of the Wind, and Obanai Iguro, Pillar of the Serpent.

Demon Slayer Season 4

Koyoharu Gotōge serialized the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga in the pages of Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between 2015 and 2020. The Japanese publishing house Shueisha compiled the work in a total of 23 volumes, which exceed 150 million copies in circulation.

The first season of the anime, made up of 26 episodes, hit our screens in 2019. The second season aired between October 2021 and February 2022, divided into two arcs: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc, a readaptation of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train film miniseries; and the sequel Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc. The third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc aired this spring of 2023. Aniplex of America provides the following synopsis for  Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba:

“We are in the Taisho era of Japan. Tanjiro, a good-hearted young man who sells coal for a living, finds his family murdered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the only survivor of him, has been transformed into a demon. Shattered by events, Tanjiro decides to become a ‘Demon Slayer’ so he can return his sister to normal and kill the demon that slaughtered his family. A painful tale of two brothers in which the destinies of humans and demons are intertwined is about to begin…”

Regarding the cast, we see that they repeat the same dubbing actors and actresses from previous seasons, so we should not expect any kind of surprise in that regard. Something logical, everything is said. Once again, we remind you that the release date has not yet been confirmed. Taking into account how soon it has been announced, we expect it to arrive in mid-2024, in the spring season, but we will have to wait to see if that is the case.
