Modern Warfare 3 To Have DMZ?

DMZ has the support on the existing maps (Al Mazrah, Vondel, Ashika Island and Building 21 along with Koshchi Complex) after Modern Warfare 3 was launched, but it remains out of Warzone’s new Urzikstan map or future maps which may be added.

The new open-world Zombies mode will mostly capture all the attention on the new Warzone maps. This mode is said to be a combination of DMZ with Zombies, in addition to contraband weapons, extraction, and missions to complete in a PvE open-world set-up.

It looks unlikely that Modern Warfare 3’s weapons will have DMZ, as most items you unlock like the Operator skins, Blueprints, and weapons will still feature in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. So any lack of fresh content, there’s still a good enough reason to game.

DMZ will feature Modern Warfare 3 content?

As new developments come to light in the universe of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, many gamers find themselves feeling uncertain with respect to the future of DMZ mode. As a unique mode in Call of Duty, DMZ focuses on PvPvE.

While there is no confirmation of how the DMZ mode will be taken forward and in what format, this mode isn’t going to shine bright within the new Warzone content, as the new Zombies mode takes center stage.

Many thought if DMZ would possibly integrate with Modern Warfare 3’s content or walk into the night quietly. An official statement from Call of Duty before COD Next fueled the fire of excitement and uncertainty in equal parts.

The statement further clarified that DMZ mode will not be displayed at COD Next but assured gamers that the beta would still run. But, any word on further updates were suspensefully missing.

When details of Modern Warfare 3’s being integrated with Warzone came into news, it became certain that certain maps like Urzikstan, Ashika Island, and Vondel, would be the only battlegrounds for Battle Royale, Plunder and Resurgence. DMZ was obviously missing from the previous list which meant players were wondering about the future of this much loved mode.

The above statement from the official sources also questioned the complications that players will face who wanted to uninstall DMZ from their respective Warzone applications. The cycling-out of Al Mazrah for the new Warzone map, queries came about the requirement of keeping back DMZ in the app.

A clarification came in during the pre-brief even before COD Next established the future of DMZ mode. It was sure that DMZ mode would remain attached to Modern Warfare 2, whilst keeping intact its gameplay, mechanics and movement.
