IEM makes its first trip back to China since IEM Beijing in 2019. It was originally scheduled to return in 2022 but was postponed because of persistent COVID-19 issues. One significant format change is seen in ESL Pro League Seasons 19 and 20. Instead of the five weeks it presently takes up, EPL will only last three in subsequent versions. The number of teams will stay the same, but there will be two Groups playing at once rather than one.
