COD Mobile World Championship Garena Finals 2023: Date, Total Teams, Prize Pool And More

Beginning on September 19, the COD Mobile World Championship 2023 Garena Finals will take place. Twelve teams from Southeast Asian nations will fight over the course of two weeks for the two spots in the World Finals. There will be competition throughout the League Stage between two groups of six teams each. Only the top three clubs from each group will proceed to the Playoffs when the opening match is over.

With the exception of the Finale, which will be played in a Bo7 format, the final stage will be held in a double-bracket elimination format. Seven teams in total have qualified from Garena Masters Season 5, which included Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Two teams from Thailand’s Legendary All-in and two teams from Indonesia’s Major Series have also clinched spots. Taiwan will enter one squad in the competition, meanwhile. September 19 to September 24 is the League Stage date, while September 29 to October 1 is the Playoffs date.

COD Mobile World Championship Garena Finals 2023 Teams

Here are the 12 squads that have been selected for the Garena Finals or WC Stage 4.

  • Omega Esports (Philippines)
  • Four Suits Esports (Philippines)
  • Broke Boys Club (Philippines)
  • Powerhouse (Singapore)
  • Kagendra (Indonesia)
  • ABC Esports (Indonesia)
  • WDC FreeSlot (Thailand)
  • WDC Xenon (Thailand)
  • 3Evil Dragons (Taiwan)

Seven of the 12 participating teams are from the Philippines, demonstrating their significant influence on the match. The current winners, WPM Lowkings from Garena Masters Season 5, are anticipated to be the top contender, but they will be up against stiff opposition from fellow rival EZR Booky and Indonesian challenger Kagendra.

While WDC Freeslot from Thailand has the abilities and capacity to destroy any opponent in this competition, Singapore’s Powerhouse is also emerging as a promising squad, capable of shocking everyone with their performance.

During the Garena Masters 5, Omega Esports, a well-known COD Mobile team from the Philippines, put up a respectable showing. The lineup managed to earn a spot in this competition by finishing the competition in fifth place.

16 teams from throughout the world will participate in the COD Mobile World Championship finals, which will take place from December 15 to December 17. In preparation for this final round, which will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, 14 teams have already been selected from six areas.

The event will be held virtually and it will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channels of Garena Call of Duty Mobile. Interested Fans can visit the channel to stay updated and witness the intense actions of their favorite teams.

Tribe Gaming had conquered the championship title of Call of Duty Mobile World Championship last year on 18th December 2022 by beating Luminosity Gaming with a 4-3 scoreline. Luminosity Gaming had been unbeaten throughout the playoffs at the tournament but unfortunately lost their last game against the 2-time world champions from North America in the nail-biting grand finale.

On the other had, Tribe Gaming had lost their first match in the Playoffs against China’s Wolves and then fought in the Lower Bracket. However, they made an incredible comeback to earn a spot in the Grand Finals. Thus Tribe Gaming will be the defending champions this year. APart from 2022, Tribe Gaming has also won the 2021 Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship western finals in December back in 2021.
